Bat survey season update 04.08.26

Bat survey season is almost finished for this year and it restarts in May 2027. We now have very limited availability for Phase 2 bat surveys this year and we recommend that you reach out to multiple ecologists at this time of year if you require bat surveys urgently, because we may not be in a position to take on your project. Our availability will depend on the nature and size of your project, location, and how many surveys you require.

Every year we spend a great deal of our time during the autumn on construction sites undertaking bat mitigation work on projects with bats. As a result of this, we will only have capacity to take on a limited number of new clients and preliminary bat survey work during this time.

Please include the following in order for us to be able to prepare a fee quote:​​

• The full site address

• If the address is not easy to find with a quick search, please also send a red line boundary map and a Google pin, or a What3Words location of the site.

• A written description of your proposals.

• Your project deadlines of when you intend to submit for planning, and when you intend to start the works.

• Lastly - only if you have them - existing and proposed site block plans, roof plans, and landscaping drawings, or a draft D&A statement.​​
