About the Event
Join me for a walk at dusk to discover the bats of West Sussex. Using handheld bat detectors, we'll hear them echo-locating as they flit through the trees. (I can't guarantee whether we'll see many bats - this is dependent on the weather conditions and where they are foraging!) But we can discuss their ecology, lifecycle, breeding and behaviour. As the light fades, bats leave their roosts and hunt for moths, mosquitoes and midges 🦇🦟
Every workshop has up to eight attendees and is held in an informal, friendly atmosphere for the best learning experience. This event is suitable for children, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
