About the Event
Perfect for families, volutneer groups, friends and corporates for a more personal feel. With my local knowledge of the South Downs and the wildlife that lives here, I can tailor a bespoke wildlife experience to suit you. We can do a bit of species identification, talk about tree folklore, discuss the ecology of chalk grassland, and learn about foraging and botany. The walk/workshop will be for 2½-3 hours with regular stops and walking on uneven ground.
If there is a particular species you are interested in, a special habitat you enjoy, or another aspect of ecology that you want to experience, I can design a route and a workshop/walk to meet your needs. I am happy to travel to your area within the South Downs or you can travel to the Chichester area.
Groups of 4 to 16 people. Dog and child-friendly!
Please email me imprintecology@gmail.com to let me know what you would like and to receive a quote.
About the tutor: Hi, I'm Emily. I'm a freelance ecologist, I work for Bumblebee Conservation Trust and hold a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and a post-grad certificate in Ecological Consultancy. I began teaching wildlife workshops in 2019 and my approach has always been fun, informal and effective for students who wish to foster a deeper connection with nature. I have a soft-spot for bumblebees, solitary bees, butterflies, bats, trees and wildflowers. I am a friendly and welcoming teacher who loves to share my passion for nature through engaging, outdoor learning.
