About the Event

Did you know we have 24 species of bumblebee in the UK? 🐝🌸 Discover the fascinating world of bumblebees at Whyke Community Orchard. We will discuss their ecology, behaviour and lifecycle and hopefully pot some bumblebees to see them up close and start identifying our most common species!

At the last workshop, we found 4 of the commonest 8 bumblebees on a cool day. Come and be surprised at what’s in our locality.

Please book through the Festival of Chichester website using the link below.

What to bring: Sturdy boots, suncream, water, hand sanitiser. If you have a bug net/lens/pot please bring these, otherwise I have things to share around. This event is not suitable for children below 12 (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). No dogs.
