About the Event

HANDLER SPACES SOLD OUT (Spectator spaces still available)

For those with an interest in conservation dogs, ecologists, or anyone currently training or wishing to train and handle an operational conservation dog. I've kept the number of handlers small (max. of 5) to ensure you get plenty of time for handling, feedback and discussion.

Venues near Chichester, West Sussex.

Exercises will be tailored to each dog/handler. The whole weekend will be a fun mix of theory, practical, discussions, and more. We also have guest trainer Jennie Dean (Scentsational Scentwork) coming to deliver an important session on motivation!

Your trainer will be Emily Sabin, ecological consultant and operational conservation detection dog handler specialising in water vole detection.

Cost: Handlers: £180 for both days

Spectators: £40 per day

Please fill out the registration form online or email emily@imprintecology.co.uk to book and for more information.

This weekend is not a qualification or accreditation but it would be a good precursor to the Lantra course and other cpd. (Accredited/experienced handlers are welcome too! This will be a great networking opportunity for those of us in the South.)

Prerequisite: dogs should be able to train in a new/distracting environment and be happy to rest in your vehicle for short periods between goes.
