Gundogs and Detection Morning

It is pure joy to see a dog working their natural instincts to hunt, especially working gundog breeds like spaniels and labradors, although any dog can do it! All abilities are welcome, whether your dog is on odour or just searching for food/toy.

Don't worry if your dog doesn't pick up/retrieve dummies or indicate on odour yet - this workshop is about the games that you can play with your dog to get you there. Throughout the morning we will work on what motivates your dog to hunt and how to get them to hunt at a greater distance from you, this is a great skill for both gundogs and detection dogs. Suitable for puppies too, as we can practice hunting for food/toy in a new environment and bring in some foundation gundog skills.

If you already attend gundog classes this will really complement your training as it will focus on hunting for an article (scent, food or toy).

Dogs work individually so this is fine for nervous/reactive dogs.

£35 per handler place. 4 spaces available. We'll be training outdoors in realistic conditions!
