Handler Skills Workshop - Indoors

What makes a good detection dog team is a good handler, and often when we train dogs for scentwork we focus too much on what the dog is doing and not the actual human who is working them!

This workshop will work on a few handling skills that will make you feel more confident and in control of a search and improve your dog's area coverage. We'll look at handler body language, voice, tasking, free searches, rewards and play. 

Dogs work individually so this is perfect for nervous/reactive dogs*.

£50 per handler place.

*Please be aware that although the search areas are not public access, the adjacent playing fields are public. There may be the occasional dog walker passing by but I'll do my best by putting up signage asking people to not disturb our dogs.
