About the Event

If you love trees, and have always wanted to learn more about them, this workshop is for you! 🌳🌲 Join me for a walk on the National Trust's Slindon Estate to learn some key principles of tree identification using easy techniques. You'll receive a free handout guide and discover the folklore of many common trees as well as a background to the Slindon Estate and its conservation. Suitable for beginners 12+ years.

How to get there: Meet at Park Lane car park, Slindon, BN18 0QY.

How to book: Select the number of attendees below and pay online. Or email me to book your space and pay via bank transfer.

What to bring: Sturdy boots, suncream, water, hand sanitiser. This event is not suitable for children below 12 (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Dogs are welcome if they are calm and friendly but ideally kept on a lead as we will be stopping lots to look at trees!

What if it rains? Rain or drizzle won't impact this workshop, but if the forecast looks really awful it will be rescheduled and you will be notified 24 hours before via email.

About the tutor: Hi, I'm Emily. I'm a freelance ecologist, I work at the People's Trust for Endangered Species and hold a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and a post-grad certificate in Ecological Consultancy. I began teaching wildlife workshops in 2019 and my approach has always been fun, informal and effective for students who wish to foster a deeper connection with nature. I have a soft-spot for bumblebees, solitary bees, butterflies, bats, trees and wildflowers. I am a friendly and welcoming teacher who loves to share my passion for nature through engaging, outdoor learning.
